Awards
As the Christian music genre began to develop in the 80s, the “Dove” awards were created by the Gospel Music Association to award artists that have created excellent worship music. Phil Keaggy received his first Dove award in 1988 with his second instrumental album, “The Wind and the Wheat.” In 1992, he was awarded a second dove award with his third instrumental album titled, “Beyond Nature.” Keaggy was awarded a Grammy in 1990 because of his album, “Find Me in These Fields.” Throughout the rest of his career up to present day, Phil Keaggy has received 3 more Dove awards.
